Protection of Personal Data
Behzad Prima Sdn Bhd (“Behzad Prima”) operates an online website (“Site”) which allows customers to view, compare and purchase insurance products, direct purchase of insurance products which includes motor insurance, medical insurance, home insurance, personal accident and commercial insurance and any other related services for free (“Services”) by our insurance partners to customers (collectively referred to as “Users”). Pursuant to the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“Act”), we are publishing this Privacy Policy to inform you of the management of personal information that you will be required to provide to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, process and disseminate personal data. “Personal Data” includes but is not limited to any type of information which may be used to identify you such as your name, contact number, nationality, bank details, email address, IC number, correspondence address, date of birth, employment information, financial information, company documentation, race, religion marital status, and/or any other information as may be provided by you when filling up any forms and/or agreements with us as detailed below. By submitting your Personal Data, you confirm that you agree to our collection, use and disclosure of personal data in accordance to this Privacy Policy.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA (“PURPOSE”)
We collect your personal data for the reasons listed below. Will process your Personal Data:-

(i) For the purpose of verifying your identity;
(ii) Conducting our internal activities, internal market surveys and trend analysis; and/or such other purposes as may be related to Behzad Prima’s business;
(iii) To assess and process your application(s) /request(s) and provide information relating to our products and services;
(iv) Managing and administering our records in relation to your insurance policy, request for quotation, retrieving quotation, complaints and enquiries;
(v) Assisting you in relation to any credit facility and/or insurance application including claims handling;
(vi) To meet and comply with any applicable rules, law, regulations, code of practices or guidelines issued by any legal or regulatory body which are binding on Behzad Prima;
(vii) Ongoing account administration and services in connection with your account, including the collection of amounts due, enforcement of security, charge or other rights and interests;
(viii) Resolve any customer support issues such as to address and investigate any concerns you may highlight to us and to respond to any feedback and queries you may have;
(ix) For such purposes as may be directed or consented to by you; and
(x) Any other purpose relating to any of the above.

PROVISION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO US
The Personal Data we collect from you are those which you had provided to us voluntarily during the signing up process and/or purchase of any products on our Site. For example, any information as may be provided by you in the following forms:

  • any agreements that you may have signed and executed with us;
  •  any application and/or registration forms submitted by you to us;
  •  any forms submitted by you to us during any contest and/or any promotional or marketing events of our products and/or services;
  • any emails or correspondences sent by you to us which includes your Personal Data;
  • third parties such as credit reporting agencies, law enforcement agencies, fraud prevention agencies and other government entities; and/or
  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site http://www. behzadprima.com/ .This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Site, subscribing to our Service, purchasing products on our Site, posting material or requesting further services.

Please note that it may be a legal requirement for us to collect your Personal Data under certain circumstances failing which we may not be able to have a valid agreement with you which may affect the provision of our Services.

There may be occasions where we are required to collect sensitive personal data from you. This includes but is not limited to your race, religious belief, background information, blood type, health information and/or biometric data where applicable. In the event that we are required to collect your sensitive personal data, we will obtain your prior express consent in strict compliance with applicable laws.

PERSONAL DATA OF OTHER THIRD PARTY
When you provide Personal Data of other individuals to us, you warrant that you have obtained their consent to do so and that the Personal Data disclosed is accurate and up to date. You also warrant that they are aware of the purpose their Personal Data shall be collected and processed.

We shall keep and process all Users Personal Data in a secure manner, where practicable, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations to prevent the unauthorized or unlawful processing of your personal data including loss, misuse, modification, unauthorized or accidental access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Your Personal Data may be disclosed to third parties, which may include but not limited to the following: (for any of the Purposes)

  • By Behzad Prima and/or any of its affiliates or associates;
  • Behzad Prima’s panel Insurers namely MPI and Zurich (at the time this notice is issued)
  •  Any director, officer or employees, or partners of Behzad Prima;
  • Banks, credit check companies, credit bureaus or credit reporting agencies and fraud prevention agencies;
  • Governmental departments and/or agencies, regulatory and/or statutory bodies;
  • Our third party service providers, including but not limited to our data processors, professional advisors and auditors; and/or

Any such third party as may be requested or authorized by you.

RETENTION OF DATA
Your Personal Data provided to us will not be kept longer than is necessary. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that all personal data is destroyed or permanently deleted if it is no longer necessary to keep the records of the transaction that you were involved in.

YOUR RIGHTS IN REGARDS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
If you would like to access, amend, make any enquiries or change and/or the deletion of your personal data, you may contact us accordingly.

REFUSAL IN PROVIDING PERSONAL DATA
In the event that you are unable and/ or refuse to provide any of the above information to Behzad Prima, it may result in Behzad Prima being unable to correspond with you or provide you with our Services.

CONFLICT
In the event that there is any conflict between the English and national language of this Privacy Policy, the English language version shall prevail.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. By you continuing to engage our Services or to communicate with us subsequent to any amendments to this Privacy Policy, it would confirm and indicate your acceptance to the amendments to this Privacy Policy. We shall notify you by way of email or by posting a notice on our Site should we make any material change to this Privacy Policy.
